Dr. Kyung Cho, a neurologist and prolific real estate investor, is planning a 132-unit elderly care facility on the edge of Koreatown, planning documents show.
The project calls for an assisted living complex with a medical and research clinic. Currently, the 3160 Geneva Street site is home to the Shriners Hospital for Children, which spans 94,000 square feet.
Cho, through his firm Mitaa Group, owns a handful of commercial properties throughout L.A. Last year, he sold the famous Foreman & Clark Building in Downtown L.A. for $52 million to Bonnis Properties, a Canadian investment firm.
The commercial landlord giant is planning more than a handful of multifamily projects, mostly in the Ktown area.
