This dataset ranks the most common states and countries of origin for out-of-state and foreign buyers purchasing homes in Palm Beach County since 2021.
The Real Deal scoured Palm Beach County tax assessment records and examined 96,219 home sales from between Jan. 1, 2021, and Mar. 1, 2024, totaling over $71 billion in volume, looking for foreign and out-of-state buyers. TRD identified 13,108 deals with buyers in other U.S. states and 1,224 sales to buyers with addresses in foreign countries, totalling over $11 billion and nearly $1 billion in volume, respectively.
The dataset includes the state and country ranking — plus a breakdown of NYC buyers by borough — including deal counts and volume, as well as details on the 96,219 home sales examined for this study.
