Chicago’s luxury housing market is about to be tested, as a casino executive just put his Lincoln Park mansion up for sale.

Greg Carlin, former CEO of Rush Street Gaming, and his wife, Marcy, are asking $7.3 million for their 7,900-square-foot home at 2325 North Cleveland Avenue, Crain’s reported. That’s about $930 per square foot.

Kevin Wood of @properties is the listing agent.

If it sells for close to the asking price, it would mark the priciest residential transaction in Lincoln Park since May 2023, when an 11,000-square-foot home on North Orchard Street traded for $10.6 million, or $963 per square foot.

That home, however, underwent a $2 million price chop before landing a buyer. Such price reductions have become common in Chicago’s luxury market since the post-pandemic housing boom peaked around summer 2022, with a drop in demand ensuing.

A massive Lincoln Park estate underwent a $20 million price chop last year, reducing the ask to just under $30 million.

The Carlins’ residence has five bedrooms and five full bathrooms, sitting atop a 50-by-200-foot lot. It boasts a spacious layout featuring formal living and dining areas on the main floor, leading to an open kitchen, family room and glass-roofed solarium.

The primary bedroom suite offers a fireplace, large walk-in closet and a lavish bathroom with limestone and glass accents. The basement features a bar, while the outdoor space includes a terrace, basketball court and parking for four cars.

The house was previously owned by Penny Pritzker — a former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the sister of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker —  and her husband Bryan Traubert. Pritzker and Traubert sold the home for $5.7 million in 2007, the outlet reported.
