Compass agent Joanne Nemerovski bagged Cook County’s priciest condo sale of March, as the dollar volume of deals in the market exploded over February’s total, indicating the spring selling season is underway.
Nemerovski was the listing agent of a condo at 2550 North Lakeview Avenue sold for $4.4 million to claim last month’s biggest deal as the total dollar volume of deals reached over $663 million across 1,784 sales. That was nearly double the $348 million in condo sales notched in February across 1,063 sales.
Here’s where March’s condo sales took place:
The median condo sale price in March of $275,000 was up 10 percent from February’s median of $250,000.
It was a new development that took the title of last month’s priciest condo per square foot, even as the Lincoln Park 2550 building notched the priciest deal overall. A condo on the 53rd floor of JDL’s One Chicago at 14 West Superior Street was sold for $3.8 million with listing agent Katherine Malkin of Compass, at a price per square foot of $1,258.
That was the fifth priciest overall condo sale last month, with deals for $4.4 million at the Tribune Tower Residences, $4.2 million at 65 East Goethe Street and $3.9 million at the St. Regis trailing the Lincoln Park sale to round out the priciest five.
