Priciest homes that sold this week weren’t too pricey

Chicago’s 5 most expensive residential sales — 4 single-family homes and 1 condo — tallied just $6.7M combined

Chicago’s luxury residential market continues to suffer through the pandemic, as the five priciest homes that sold this week totaled just $6.7 million. That’s one of the lowest amounts all year. And it’s far lower than the five priciest home sales that closed late last month, which tallied $10.65 million.

Four of the five properties this week were single-family homes, all in the $1.3 million range and around 4,500 square feet. Two are in North Center, one is in Lincoln Park and another in West Town.

The lone condo that sold was a 57th-floor unit at Water Tower Place in the Near North Side.

Price and property details were found on Redfin, from July 4 to 10.
