Borekci Real Estate and Algonquin Ventures Real Estate scored a construction permit for a mixed-use project to replace the old Woodruff Arcade in Edgewater.
The seven-story complex at Sheridan Road and Broadway will be known as “‘The Arcade,” and will feature 58 residential units over retail and a one-level parking garage for 29 cars, according to Curbed.
It will replace a historic structure that stood at the site for 95 years.
Former owner Michael Keller sold the property to the new owners in late 2016.
The Arcade’s design comes from Chicago-based Hirsch MPG and features a serrated stone facade credited to EL (Efficiency Lab for Architecture) in New York. [Curbed] — John O’Brien
